Hope to bring my 68 Z/28 to the Camaro Nationals in FREDERICK, Md.  Cordovan Maroon - will see its 68 L78 brother there.  More to do in Frederick outside the show for the wife. Will be good to see old friends again.  Lots of 1st gen cars

I envy you midwest guys for all of the shows that are in  close proximity to one another.

It still isn't enough for me to want to move back there, but the camaraderie and being able to check out all those cars is very cool.

I will stick to my local back up plan this weekend.....Fathers day car show.

There might be 3 or 4 Camaros there.... ;D

A plane ticket to the MD/PA area is not that expensive...  :) .. if you buy it early enough!

I know, just rolling with the punches here planning family vacations. I have deal for plane flights, so no issue there. Just have to plan around 4 kids is all.

Well, I'm 700 miles away but just found out I'll miss the shows (both Carlisle and Frederick) this year, as my wife will have some relatives visiting that weekend.. so I'll be at home this year... I hope everyone who does attend has a fantastic time of learning, looking, lusting (after all those beautiful Camaros!).. :)

Intend on attending both, Nationals on Friday and Carlisle on Sat. and maybe Sun.  I've never been to Nats, is everything there on Fri.?  It's been several years since we were at GM Carlisle but we're looking forward to it.

I've been to SLS/Carlisle the last two years.

I'm going to try the Camaro Nationals this year.

Looks like fun.

I can't even deal with the humidity anymore.  I went out there last June to haul a car back and I about died, lol, and that's not even the most humid time of year.   What always disappointed me living out there is that even during the summer I couldn't plan for car shows because you never knew what the weather was going to do that weekend, so pre-registering for anything was out of the question.  It was always "wait till the night before and make a decision" type of thing.   Always frustrated the family when making plans.  That whole weather deal, both winter and summer, is what made us go west.

You're right though, our car events are spread thoughout the year and among 3-4 states since we have year round classic car weather, so it doesn't seem as "packed" on the calender.  But we (both my wife and myself) can daily drive our classics year round out here  ;)  For me that's more fun than the shows.
