The term 'restored' is one of the most misused terms in the automotive hobby. In this forum, most of us subscribe to the word meaning something similar to this:
RESTORED. meaning the car's parts, function, finishes, etc have been redone as closely to the processes and parts used in the factory as closely as possible.
Visibly your car is not 'restored' by this definition, but perhaps has been 'rebuilt' using chrome and aftermarket parts. Perhaps the function and the major components (engine block, transmission, rear, etc) ARE the parts the car came from the factory with? Some people call it 'numbers matching' if the stamped codes on the engine are correct for the car and year, but in this forum, we generally refer to ALL the parts on the car that carry numbers from the factory.
