It is nice to see. We are getting a little today. What's became a problem here, it's been under freezing long enough, we have an underground waterline frozen. It did it last year but it was colder. This year seems like 3 weeks under freezing. Looks like next week it might get into the 30s!!

All the scare mongers talking 'global warming', seem to be ignoring the fact that we have entered probably a 30 yr period of colder and colder temps... (due to lower sun energy)... the last two years winters here have been the coldest/longest that we've had in Alabama for probably 40 yrs...

That's because the sun is about to die out.  Then we'll have another ice age.   ::)

It actually snowed here in So Cal a few weeks back, it was pretty rare. I had friends a couple of miles away who got 5 to 6 inches of snow overnight. Most of it all melted that next day, but it had been about 10 years prior they had a small dusting, and nobody could remember this much snow. Weird man.

Without a doubt the climate is changing...
I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and we've only had one 'real' (> 2 inches) snowstorm this year. Very odd.

They have had more snow down south this year than we have.

Well gentlemen the Northwest must be getting all the global warming, no snow this year and not as much rain, in fact as of today only 8% of normal snow in the mountains. Lots of sunny days to drive the camaro's.

70's???

Nah to new for me. Similar to the Muscle cars of the 60's, sportsters heyday was the mid to late 60's IMO.

This bike is a 66 XLCH, and to answer your question, yes it only came with kick start in 66 even on the XLH. (67 was the first year to offer an electric start sportster, but only on the pedestrian XLH).

( There is a knack to starting it, even with the adjustable magneto, but once it fires it was one of the fastest production bikes of its time.)  ;)

Been snowy and cold for a couple winters in NJ.  Global warming means the the average surface temperature of the earth is going up by about 1 degree.  does not sound like a lot.  But you have to remember, that 1 degree causes  UNPREDICTABLE swings in climate!  more snow. less snow, more drought, wetter areas, etc then before.  So while the southwest is getting drier, the northeast is getting wetter (more rain and snow). Remember, if you do not like the weather, wait a bit, it will change :D

It seems more cyclical to me. I believe in the 70's they said we were in for a big cooling off period and they (scientists) were warning the earth was getting colder....
maybe if we all just drove more electric cars that would solve the problem! ( but where does the electricity come from? ) Mostly coal.  ???

"But you Camaro guys are ruining it with those high emission killing machines!"  :o
