Hi everyone, new guy here......
« on: January 09, 2015, 11:29:10 AM »
Hi all,
Long time Camaro owner, several generations (1,2,3,4 & 5th), on Camaro #7, and this is my FIRST 1st Gen! I traded my 72 Z28, and some $$. Very happy with the deal. I am older than my friend (the guy I traded with) (51), so this car is more my gen, and my Z was his gen. I think we both knew from day one, eventually, we would swap cars!

It is a 68 327 (SS Tribute). The car was owned by one lady in GA, from 1968 -2006. My buddy bought on in 2006, had the 327 gone through and brought up the power with some nice mods as well. The TH350 was also added then. The drivetrain only has a few thousand on it, car has 72K. It is a numbers matching engine, and all else, sans the TH350, 4-wheel disc added last year. I have the orig title, o-manual, build-broadcast sheet, and protect-o-plate still in warranty book. Coming from a 4 speed (M-21) I thought I might not like having the TH350, but not the case, I love it. I look forward to learning a lot here, hopefully make a few friends along the way.
I live in NOVA, Potomac Falls, work in DC. Let know if you are near me!

here's my new Baby...

May sound silly ,but what size tires ? Great look on it and I'm assuming no clearance issues. Another member (Danny) was inquiring on another thread for his 68. This always comes up and IMO you have the perfect combo. Welcome to the site--steve.

Welcome to the site. Very clean looking 68. Awesome you were able to get the documentation with it, that stuff is gold no matter the model Camaro these days. Was the lady able to pass on any pictures of the car from back in the day?

Thanks all. :)
Bullit, just one, of the engine bay prior to re-build. It was super clean! I mean like crazy clean for an original car. She obviously took very good care of it. I wish I had more pics, but that is the only one.

Great to see a fellow NOVA first gen owner.  I own a recently restored 67 RSSS Clone.  Have you taken your 68 to Katie's Coffee in Great Falls
for a Sat morning event?

Thanks again all.
Jek, not yet.....with this car. I did take the 72 Z28 last season several times. I will certainly attend with the 68, cant wait. I will keep an eye out for you. Do the same. :)

I'm curious on the docs. :)
Don't see many broadcast sheets for a 68. Is it a chassis or body sheet?
Like the original stripes, looks good.
