Well I have been checking online every morning and every night for months and have not found what I need. Maybe I will look for the 15" X 7" and just put thinner tires on them. I eventually want to purchase Repro Good Year Wide Tread GT's. But at almost $350 a pop... OUCH!! Anybody know of a good deal? I was talking to Chick on the phone a few days ago and he mentioned he got a great deal. Maybe he has found that company where he purchased his.... However that may have been years ago, I can't remember... Danny

not sure what you are looking for now ?  The tires on Craigslist were a bit bigger than E-70's. 6" rims only ? Are the tires on the car now original to it ? If not , why not just order the tires you want and have the mounted on your wheels ?? I put my originals back on 26 years ago, with new tires,  and that's what the cars rolling on now. High quality wheels, true, and no slow leaks at the bead. Irreplaceable ? yea,but so is everything else hanging off of and including the chassis.

Danny,
I have an almost new set of the "Firestone Wide Oval 60's", (which are equivalnet to: 235/60/15) I would consider selling at a fair price.
Not sure where you are though......(I am in Northern VA) but just throwing it out there. They look awesome on these cars, IMO.....perhaps better than any OEM tire.

I ran 225x60's on the front & 255x60's on the rear with FW 15x7 rally wheels with no rubbing on my 68. I am going back with the same thing again once the car is finished, in fact I have already ordered the tires.  ;D

What size are they? Every tire has its size molded into the sidewall, by law.

OK, SO, I now have 4 - 15" X 7" rally wheels FW code in hand. They were painted metallic silver, so I am hot tanking all 4 of them as I type this. So my speedo is accurate, and the tires don't look funny/skinny from the back. What's a nice tire size to meet visual and speedo functional needs? I will be running Cooper Radials and want it to look close to factory stock, NOT a hotrod look. P225/60R15's? Then I can take my 5 DF rally's and evaporust them and install Good Year E-70 15 's, and be ready for shows... Danny
