What does my teacher have hiding in the auto shop
« on: January 02, 2015, 01:13:43 AM »
So I was in an auto body class (now in automotive) and I the back of class my teacher has a 1969 RS/SS Z28 deluxe interior, rosewood wheel car. The car was used as a racer, but the only thing done was to remove the engine, trans and tires(all saved, still has them) and replaced with a big block and manual for racing. I offered him a lot of cash but he wont sell. This is one of those "Im going to restore someday". Just thought you might like to take a look at what Im drooliing on.

Oh yeah, would love to look and check that baby out. Keep in touch with him, you just never know when something might change in his world and he might call you and be willing to let it go.

Very cool and the metal looks to be in very good shape.  Wonder if it's the original metal and paint.  Ever ask how long it's been there sitting ?

I wonder with these "buried treasure" type cars if you offered the guy a nice 69 base model somewhat restored driver, that they could enjoy right here right now as a trade if they would budge. Like the big block corvette in the other thread, if somebody offered that guy a 65, 66, 67 running 5 footer would he be willing to move on it. Just another strategy I have been thinking about to get these car lovers to move on with there life and a car they can enjoy now, instead of dreaming of what could be.
