paint code on leaf spring by front eye bolt, on 1969 camaro
« on: December 04, 2014, 02:44:01 PM »
I see in the assembly manuals for 69 Camaros, in upc section 4  B1 page 57 they show a color code stripe on the front of the leaf spring. Does anyone have a list of the colors and cars they went on? Or did the factory actually put the color codes on the springs?
Thanks for any and all help

There was a discussion about paint coded leaf springs (it was used) for 1967 and possibly early 68. I am under the assumption that 67 was the only year used before starting to use decals.
The discussion can be found here: http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=9739.0

thanks for the help on the paint code for leaf springs. strange they still put it in the assembly manuals after they had switched to using tags.
thanks again
