door top on 67 w/ std interior
« on: December 01, 2014, 07:06:44 PM »
I haven't been able to find this in a search.  Probably not using the right words.  I'm looking for a picture of the interior door top on a 67.  I'm specifically interested in the front and rear corners where the interior black meets the body color and door gasket.  Hoping to jam the doors tonight and want to know what to mask.  Thanks W

Ask Mike S for a pic of one of his cars.  I can not say for certain mine is painted correctly.  That was a detail I overlooked when painting my door tops & dash.

I can take pictures later today from the car with the original paint when I get home and post.

 Hi Wendell,

Attached are two pictures of the paint edge from my 67 w/standard interior. You can clearly see the rear paint edge line. The front edge is hidden under the rubber, which is very brittle, so I didn't want to pop out the black plugs. Also, there looks to be traces of adhesive in that area so I didn't want to risk tearing the original rubber.
The picture MooneyDrive posted displays an excellent view of the bottom paint line under the door panel.

MooneyDriver, can you get a front shot of the paint edge under the rubber on that door?

Gosh, I completely forgot the OP asked about the rear panels too.
Great shots MooneyDriver!  Looks like your doors show signs of adhesive too.

Steve,

Just curious...what question did you have about the sticker?

My question on the GM decal is were they applied on all 67 Camaro's or just early only?  And that pic. shows placement.
