In the process of finishing my motor and never realized the factory didn't use exhaust gaskets. Any problems with this and do you use any kind of sealant?

Just make sure the surface is flat. Run a file across the manifold & head. No sealant & have not had any issues as long as both surfaces are true.

I wouldn't bank on it. I would check repop or original.
