My 67 LOS L35 396 engine is stamped TO131MZ  7L148159  January 31st?    Assembly of car 03C (3rd week of March 67)
Correct, that is Jan 31st. Looking at the total L35 numbers for '67 Camaros' I can see why the motors sat on a rack for weeks.

Mike, there is even a lot of variability in the L35 cars for April of 67 at LOS.

There are some known cars with early April body assemblies that have late March assembled engines.
Hi Bryon,

I wonder if the wide spread at LOS has anything to do with the K19 AIR option (MZ blocks).
Did the LOS plant cover Camaro production from west of the Mississippi to the west coast?

Mike, I am sorry, but I don't have a good answer for your question.  It may have something to do with that, but I am not sure.

Here's one on the other end of the time line....  69 L-78 LOS motor cast date G 18  stamp pad T0820 JH, casting on block 3935440, car build date trim tag 09D 68 . Heads: H 18 and G 318, water pump G 18 8 , Dist. dates 8G18, Harmonic balancer date H8F, Intake man. 3- 29-68. Intake seems early to me ?

Vince, the intake does seem a little early, but it may be OK. Is the carb there?

Bryon, at the time 1990' when I got the car the carb. had been changed of modified to make it run on lower grade fuel, and I can't remember the numbers but it was a frankin carb. little this little that.
