Sad, it's a real stunner but all the misstakes when you put so much effort in gettin a nice looker make me suspicious...is it a real Z from the beginning??
The stripes, the interior error, under the hood....all that makes me wonder....and where it the trim tag?  ???

Painter may have been familiar with the '70-on stripe termination detail at the nose and didn't know first gens were different; have seen plenty with the rear stripes terminated like that too.....

It really looks odd.  It makes me wonder what else is wrong with the car.

Way too early for the Comfort Grip wheel, looks like one piece kick panels, wrong window cranks black knobs, cowl hood in all likelyhood shouldn't be there.
Color is nice but closer to Electron Blue off the C5 vette.

That vin should be 12A or 12B. Probably too early for the cowl hood. It also has no tach, console, or gauges. I can,t remember when the tach became a requirement.

Jim69: This is why I (we) try and get the details right in my (our) restoration, so someone does not say what you did and wonder what else is wrong or even if it is what is claimed. I do not want someone in the know to question the authenticity.

Kelley: With VIN Kurt provided, it should be a 12C, I believe. Tach was not required until way later in production and, yes, too early for ZL2, IMO. http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=6281.0  some other posts are useful if you search on here.
