Ok I'm an old guy newbie and don't mind the old part. I recently joined this group after buying a 67 "barn find". This car was in the barn since 77 and still has all original parts. Unfortunately 37 years in a barn was not good for it. The barn finally collapsed and when they were pulling all the wood out to burn they dragged the car back into the light of day. The coons, rats and spiders were evicted and they took a picture and put it on craigslist , where I found it. I bought it sight unseen, drove down immediately and paid for it. After seeing it in person , I was scared a little, but what the heck, I got to start somewhere. I got it home the next day and started my photo documentation of everything. After 3 evenings, I got enough crap out of it that I could put it into the garage. I have started disassembling and found a lot more rust than I anticipated, but I still think that in the long run it will be a good #'s matching restoration. While looking for body parts, I thought I came across a donor car, went and looked at it found that it was a 67 ss350. Needless to say I bought it. Now I have 2 BIG project cars. I am trying to backtrack the history of both cars to document the first mostly, but the bigger issue is the engine transmission for the SS350. Any direction in the right path to doing this from you guys would be greatly appreciated. Both cars are central Ohio cars from the Norwood plant.
