just remember.... clean and preserve.. don't destroy or coverup..
1) I'm glad you were able to bring out the VIN on the block; I thought you'd be able to with the engine out of the car.
2) Great job on the drive shaft... I wish I'd taken as much car with mine...
3) The MC has a cast date (Julian date) on the opposite side from the 'xxxx309' PN.. see how closely that jives with the mid March dates of your other parts.. The booster also has a Julian date on the opposite side of the tab from the 9204 stamp.
4) Don't worry about the bolt markings for bolts that are still installed; just remember to bag/detail label them when you remove them for cleaning. Lots of bolt mfgs were used, but it will give you a great deal of satisfaction to be able to put them back in the same locations they came from..
For removing rust - Evaporust and/or Metal Rescue.. for preserving bare metal parts - Boeshield (avail thru Sears)..
