Well it only took me a year to drive my Camaro again...
« on: June 19, 2014, 05:57:05 PM »
Well after 8 hours of dealing with airlines, arriving in Indianapolis at 1 am only to find out my reservation for a rental car was gone, and then driving 3 hours north, (with 4 kids in tow mind you) then got them dinner and into bed. I was able to go out shortly before midnight, and feast my eyes on my 69. I was there until about 4am, just messing around with the car. Car fired up quickly, and after it ran for about 10 minutes I took it out in the rain, and it drove just as sweet as ever.

It was all worth it......fell asleep with a smile   ;D

Well my wife will be joining us for the trip back to California, so I guess she may have to ride on the roof!   :D

Also I can't imagine what my Camaro interior would look like with 4 young kids tearing it apart. My Tahoe has taken the brunt of damage, if I squint and hold my nose its not so bad...

Jim neighbors only sings at the indy 500 to the best of my knowledge. I almost had to google him to remember who he was, Goomer pile was ahead of my time... :)

My big plan is to erect/purchase a similar building in southern California where we live now. 60' x 40' is the size of this building, so I would like the future one to be at least that big, so I can enjoy them year round.

P.S. Indiana is home to my wife, I am originally from Northern California. I am not tough like you guys, I can't deal with the harsh weather, and the salt in Indiana.
My Camaro was in Michigan with the same owner for the first 38 yrs, Texas for a partial year, and has been in Indiana for the last 7 while I have owned it.

And you don't have to buy them a newer 4x4 Silverado to take back up to college for those nastier Michigan winters LOL.

I honestly can not remember the last time I drove the Z on the street.

well judging by your most recent photos you are going to have one eye popping car when it hits the road. The paint work looks real good so far.
