Yes!

I was in the USAF during the '68-72 period stationed at Keesler AFB on the MIssissippi gulf coast, a fella who worked at Paul Vanderley's Speed Shop (right out gate 7) had one of those.. with big gears and slicks, a Tarantula TM-2 manifold and a big Holley (all of it prepped by him)..   it was the fastest car along the coast on the street..  He had a standing $100 bet against anyone .. and I don't recall him ever losing... :)   .. and the car was beautiful too.. :)

I found a license frame, but it looks like they sold oldsmobiles as well:

Question re original tag frames:

I have the (an?) original tag frame that was on my car since before 1976 that I assume is original, BUT it's fairly pitted.   The tag frame was a cheap chrome it appeared, and then had a background color (black), and a 'name' color (white) painted on it.   It doesn't look bad, but it would look much nicer if it was rechromed and repainted.. :)

My question is... Should I restore the tag frame? or leave it as is??

and here is a company that makes new license plate frames, that would/could probably make you whatever you wanted...   even the dealership name (as long as it's defunct)? or if you have permission from the dealership??

Thanks BULLITT65, George Olsen Oldsmobile was a name change in the 1970's so wouldn't be correct for 1968.
