maybe, but to me crazy is $500 for a repop worth $20.

an original bracket for someone with an original Z that really wants that part.....it's probably worth the $625.78 to them.

It just amazes me the money folks will spend on little things. I was never rich so I'm just going to do without even if I do have a Z28. That's half a house payment for me.

Can't imagine anyone else buying it, big risk for a 'flipper' that they may not get their money back.
Then again, maybe they'll sit on it for a few years and then break the $1,000 mark

The thing that puzzles me is don't the guys reproducing parts realize they could probably triple the price of their parts if it was exactly as original and people would buy them. Would you pay $60 for a correct bracket?  Many better parts I see are 80% correct but not 100%.  We are fortunate to have so many parts available. George.

Tim, its actually the same one that recently sold for $625, this time the previous buyer is selling it without the fuel line & distribution block.

Good detective work Lloyd, I guess you could tell that from the number of feedback stars of the previous buyer being the same as the new seller?
Pity that it appears it's being flipped again so soon, but perhaps the current seller only bought it for the original fuel line, and didn't need the support bracket.....

Correct, the Buyer's (who is now the Seller) eBay feedback score was identical and the abbreviated eBay member name fit.

Auction ended early "because there was an error in the listing". It only had 1 bid ($50) at the time, so presumably the owner accepted an offer and sold outside of ebay.

I was finally in front of my car last night and one of the first things I did as I was checking out the motor, was to take a close look and see what stamp was on mine..... "stamp rite" , I felt like I won the lottery.......

A great feeling all due to a 10 cent bracket from 1969 ;D

There was a fella at the Nationals this year that noticed my car had a reproduction bracket on my car. He pulled an original out of his back pack and educated me on the proper stamping. He was selling the original one for $300. I think he saw my reaction and followed up with he sold another one for $400 on eBay so it was a decent price for a hard to find item. Seeing as how I recently paid $200 for the correct (4 thin ring) spark plugs I thought he may be  in the range of what these sell for.  I told him I was going to pass but would think about it (needed to do some research). He asked when my car was built. When I replied with February, he said my car did not come with this bracket so I should take the repop off and be glad I didn't have to worry about it.

I think he is right it seems that only the later cars got this bracket.
Consider yourself lucky, since who ever bought the one on your car, only wasted a little money on it, could have been worse.
