Chick, Thank you for those new photo's.  The carb studs were an item that I've been wanting to compare from this car.  The studs with the undercut at the top seem to be original across the board and very very hard to find.  Some of the more advanced vendors do not have these studs.  I have these same studs in my intake, and know of a few more cars that have them, but many have the replacement type.  I was wondering how rare these studs actually are, or not.

Thanks,
Bryan

Bryan,  your comment would be more meaningful if you could post a comparison pix between the original 'undercut' top type of stud, along with the reproduction you are referring to..  that would show the difference(s)...?

Thanxs Chick for the response and I don't care that it took some time I'm just glad that you could accomadate me. I know that you're a busy man and things in life pop up.

Do you have any pics of his shifter body / date. I've been trying to keep tabs on the shifters and I believe they are dated, but some guys don't think so.

I believe we've collected sufficient information from enough shifter bodies/cars to know that there is a date coded into the manufacturer's number; not an explicit 'date only code', but the date of manufacture (month and year) is coded into the number on the shifter body.

Well we have much to update on as Skip and I had his incredible 69Z survivor on our 4 post lift to review and take lot's of pictures. I will be posting them over this weekend. And for anyone going to Carlisle's GM Nationals Skip's 69Z will be in the solid lifter display building just outside gate one.  Busy week here with the street rods in town. :)

Front wheel Hub assembly with crayon markings (two colors), part #, and note "A" on wheel studs. Rear stud marking different.

Rear stud had dash type identification.

Front brake Caliper-

One of the front brake hoses-

Left side drum brake adjuster Julian code in orange.

Right side drum brake adjuster Julian code in white.

Note paint line caused by drum being on when painted.

Other brake hardware colors-

Great pics. That is interesting with the orange and white. I didn't take a pic of my passenger side, but my drivers rear brake hardware has the julian date in white and still has the original brake shoes as well. I am pretty sure it has never been serviced since new.

This we both found interesting and can only assume there were two assemblers, one on the right side and one on the left side.
The right side front spoiler hardware was put on this way!

But the left side front spoiler hardware was put on opposite from the right side. :) Makes it nice to see exactly what hardware was used though!

The sub-frame inner rails from underneath definitely had some gloss and appeared to be a semi-gloss!

Except for two pieces much of the exhaust is original to the car.

Shifter is in just outstanding condition and easy to note coatings from new.

Dip painted!

Gas cap!
