Thanks Dave, Yea, that is what I am talking about, at least the B/M hood and traction bars. Just a little different.

Bullitt-Great idea on the license frames, but I am already ahead of you. I figured I would never know the selling dealer, but that will change soon at least ordering dealer with those docs coming available. There was a small Chev. Dealer, here, where I live, that went out of business around 1990? I acquired both a new Trunk/tail panel emblem and a metal license frame some time ago. It was called Owen Chevrolet.

It has been a long time since I have had any progress updates to show. Since April this year my car has been in a body shop. After 7 months some progress is finally able to be shown. Click on the link for pics. http://s1217.photobucket.com/user/MrLS7/library/Bentley%20B%2069%20Camaro%20L78?sort=3&page=1#/user/MrLS7/library/Bentley%20B%2069%20Camaro%20L78?sort=3&page=1&_suid=141737393935906525380899181133

Nice to see the L-78 on her way back. Bentley, will the shop break down the rust repair hours only, or all work together? I'm thinking about starting another post with this question so just wondering.

Pretty much agreed to an overall estimate when shop 1st saw what was needed and what I wanted. Intially a large payment in advance, with another installment due now and perhaps a lesser to settle up. I am trying to find out now if repair areas where as bad as thought or if it went easier. Seeing if I am ahead money wise and estimate was high initially. Probably will never really know as the price will be the same, regardless, I am sure. Car had it's issues being from the Midwest , but was not a hulk by a long stretch. Regardless, cost the same whether it is a pin hole or swiss cheese as whole panel ussually has to be replaced. I am not very experienced in estimating body work and felt somewhat at the mercy of the guy doing work.

Well, this is Round II. After disappointment from the first body guy, (see 1st post and, also the date of that post) and a period of desperation, I have finally found a person to work on my car. He is local and as of last night, the car is sitting in his shop. Hopefully, this thing can get back on track. I think 4 years of body shop hold up and robbery is enough. I was very close to giving up on the car and parting it out, seriously! But now, I am finding that small flame of enthusiasm for this car is starting to grow again and interest hopefully will come back in time. Look for some real progress pics in the near future.

I must also thank the many, here, that have been supportive, encouraging, understanding through their PMs.

Stop in the shop on a very regular basis. Over the years I've learned trying to be descent sometimes don't get the job done. Unfortunately, at times, you gotta be a **!@.

Shops should not require a hefty down payment. They got your car and can roll it if you don't pay the bill.

Have Austin forward my PM to you.

I've farmed a few things out to get restored for the Z. Cook is wonderful. Hands down.

CHP was very patient with me as I probably called weekly, but he gets it. First time sending parts out.

BrakeBoosters, wonderful. He called me. And it was only a few items.

Not just anyone can paint that beautiful 'Hugger Orange', nor deserves to....   Bentley is so very fortunate that he found one that qualifies on both counts!!  .. :)

That's great Bentley that you're back after it! Where is the work getting done? I would like to see his work and maybe discuss my car with him.i've picked up a 69 DZ motor , block and intake only, and not sure what I'm going to do with it other than list it on here in hopes of reuniting it with its home car. Take care and continue to update with pics.

Good luck Bentley! Here's to a great ending. I hope he's able to give you some fairly speedy updates. Now you're probably going to pass me lol, but seriously, glad to see it's in what I'm sure are capable hands.
