here`s my interior, unrestored. could use carpet and a good general clean up. check out the cool hemi z/28 that showed up at car craft summer cruise last summer. wish my engine bay looked like that.

I think I saw that car for sale about a year or so ago, owner said the car came with the original numbers matching 302 as well. I can't remember the price but it seems like it was in the low 100k's. From what I remember he purchased the motor a few years prior. I remember thinking  it was kind of a shame it went into a show car that wouldn't see the open road. I am pretty sure Smokey would have frowned on that ..

Are you still running the traction bars? What rear end (gears) do you have in it ? I also noticed a rear spoiler but no front spoiler, was the rear added at one point? or did the front get sacrificed to a couple of driveways...Looks like the owner may have painted the grill black, or is that just the lighting? Also looks like you have the optional door guards

yes, the traction bars are still there. the gear set is 3.73 the front spoiler got wiped off in the late 70`s from what the guy i bought it from told me. he tore some of the drivers side off it so it got repainted at that time. new quarter panel, front driver fender and lower valance. they have the GM stickers on them. he said he swapped the grill out because he liked  the black grill better? not 100% sure on the door edge guards though, he may have added them on the repaint ? i am going to try to find the picture from the day i picked the car up and took it home, it still had the 3" side pipes on it.

Very good info. Its funny my car has 46k on it which is considered low milage but still another 8k more than your low milage beauty , but its funny with the "low" milage that each car has how many oops things happened still from the original owners. My front spoiler definitely has some wear to it, I acquired a nice original back up if one day it decides to part with the car. And of coarse my car also has some paint touch ups on the side panels from the bad Michigan winters eating up the paint I believe.
The side pipes are a great bit of nostalgia, I don't see them now in your pics, what style exhaust did you replace them with?

i had a friend put some stock size pipes on it, the system in the pics was 2.5" and rusted out way quick, it was a cheap flowmaster kit. the system now is aluminized and should last a lot longer. i have all new sheetmetal from GM, quarters, fenders, cowl hood, rad support. the cowl hood might go bye bye though, most likely won`t put it on. i think i will sell it or trade it for some NOS parts im looking for. the block is the 388 casting, i thought it might be a replacement until Jerry said it was correct and showed me the #`s matching stamping by the oil filter, huge sigh of relief, lol

here`s a pic of the engine bay, needs some smog and the factory chambered back on it and the hood hinges de-chromed. anybody know if de-chroming is possible ? also wondering if anybody can install new ends on my factory spring ring battery cables ?

interesting that it has a Rosewood wheel and deluxe pedal trim but no Rosewood on the dash or ashtray

I think i have those same traction bars. Mine have 2 vertical beams and are HEAVY.  Took them off and put them on the shelf!
