68 PP code axle

I was reading the Production numbers for 1968.

PP code for 3.07 in 1968 only 560 were produced?

Is this a Typo or was that really the number?

My 68 has a PP 1122G2

Someone will correct me if I am wrong.  PP code in 1968 is 3.07 open with metallic brakes.

If you are talking about the RPO spreadsheet, I believe that does not include the cars that would have had the 3.07 rear as standard.  From the Power Teams chart, 3.07 was standard with the 350/295 hp engine and a Powerglide, also with the 396/325 hp engine and either the 3 spd or 4 spd manual transmission.

What engine and transmission does your car have?

In 67 the PP code was a 3.07 12 bolt open with metallic brakes. In 68 it was a 12 bolt open (No metallic brakes in 68). Look at the column for 68 at the top of the REAR AXLE CODE page. "MET" (metallic) is part of the 1967 section.

By the way, I split this topic from the other one.
