SS Horn Button

I replaced the steering wheel on my 67 L-35. The horn button was an SS, with part # 3905582. From the forums here the SS button was never used in 67. I did put a correct standard horn button on. I was just wondering what the usage was for the SS cap. Thanks

3905582 is the casting number for the horn button itself (without the emblem). Once Chevy put an emblem on it, a part number was assigned, depending on which emblem was installed.

You are correct to install the standard cap. Both my 67 L35's (NOR and LOS) have the standard interior and their original 'Camaro' horn caps.
