The stripes on Z28's (the only car with stripes painted by fisher) were done in the body shop soon after the color coat was applied, not in the blackout booth, so they had access to the gloss black used to paint the entire car, GM painted the front half stripes (and the entire front half of the car) in their paint shop well after the blackout had been applied by Fisher.
