Some one please refresh my memory - when the trim tag and/or VIN numbers were reset towards the end of the '69 model year to extend the Camaro production until the 2nd Gen came out, what were they reset to ? I'm too lazy in my old age to go look it up. Might be in Jerry's Definitive book ?

Gotta love that nice, crisp and perfect trim tag - even with the straight 7's.

Regards,
Steve

Body numbers were reset to 100001 in August of 69, VINs were never reset.

He sent an email wanting to know what I based my opinion of the trim tag on. I told him it was the mismatched numbers that gave it away. Maybe I baited him enough he'll try to convince me differently. Stay tuned film at 11.

Someone with that many cars would get alot of good out of this site. I am surprised they are not on here. I do know a guy who would also get alot of good out of this site but he stumbles along trying to figure it out himself. sometimes people cant help themselves!
Like right now I am thinking I would like to make this font bigger so I can read it!  geez

I got a response but it was the usual hog wash. He did say he was glad I pointed out the mismatched number but it was just a clerical error. I don't know how a clerk will straighten that up.  This is the funny part here though.

"We have sold over 300 Camaros.  Many of the Z-28s with 350 engines, we have sold in the 40s and 50s' and a a few in that price currently for sale on our site.
We're planning on reducing the price to $59,900 and based on the restoration quality of the car it is still a great deal. We're not going to get rich but that's ok."

Nice looking Camaro, just the same.
Trans crossmember is backwards.
Parking brake needs adjustment, cable sags too low.
Shouldn't the pulleys be deep groove?
Still, nice looking.
