68 Camaro horns
« on: December 13, 2012, 01:32:26 PM »
Not sure whether this has been discussed before but does anybody know the correct position for the mounting of the high and low note horns on a standard car. I've seen a few posts regarding a 69 but not a 68. The aim manual is not very clear.

UPC 12 A8 is not clear?.. :)
The horn on the rad support is the low note, the horn bolted through the headlamp bracket is the high..

Thanks for that, I must of missed that page when flicking through the aim manual. The drawing I was referring to was UPC U03 A1 on page 382.

As BlackoutSteve indicates, the standard horn placement (non RS, non low note option) is shown on UPC 12, A8.   UPC U3, A1 shows horn Placement for the RS option, and the low note option.  If your Camaro has the basic 2 horn setup use A8.  If horns are still intact with their original mounting brackets, they will only fit one way (because of the mounting tabs) into the headlamp housing and radiator support.
