I can't see the speedo cable hole in the firewall or the clips. Might be there but I can't see. And the shifter hole doesn't appear
torched.

Not much left usable on that car at all! Hard to believe how high its already been bid up to on eBay.

I downloaded the pics and looked at them on a big monitor in high res and if you look close you can see the Muncie speedo cable hole (with a grommet) and one clip in the photo that shows the front straight on...the second photo in the ad I think. The shifter hole looks pretty original on the forward, right and back sides but has definitely been cut on the left side like was often done with an aftermarket Hurst shifter. Again, a big monitor was needed to distinguish the edges and the differences.

Could have been a Muncie 3 speed. I think they use the same speedo hole as the 4 speed and the shifter hole is similar to the 67 and 68. I cant see the pics too well in the ad but, the shifter hole looks rectangular originally.

Car is current at $6900 with one day to go in the auction, maybe I'm missing something because I just don't see that level of value.

I'd have to say Sonny is correct, as well as everyone else who has suspicions as to why this car is being bid at these ridicules prices. I think its a pretty safe bet that the Vin, cowl tag, & title will show up on another car sooner than later. Might want to keep tabs on this one ??? >:(

I agree that will likely be a rebody.

argh!

What next, hidden VIN re-stamps?
I'm glad I'm not buying any rare vintage car today.

If all of the CRG members chipped in a couple bucks we could buy the car and scrap it so a rebody doesn't happen.

You'll have to start another collection to buy all the cars that have had 75% or more of the body replaced too. And then you can scrap those. Because they are out there and among the high dollar ones as well.

If they don't rebody it they will replace all the panels around the TT and hiddens. Which according to some, is not a rebody but a rebuild.

I have subscribed to this thread so that when my ebay search that I have already established for 1969 Camaro Z10 and this VIN/trim tag shows up. I can flag it as fraudulent.
