Penske Trans Am Camaro Tech and Development
« on: October 21, 2017, 02:30:14 AM »
Just saw this over at Dean's Garage (fantastic site in its own right, usually detailed stories on rare and unusual Detroit production and race cars). Detailed expose on design and development of Penske's TA Camaros, lots of info re. chassis/suspension design and setup, steering, engine, tires, etc. Some neat pix too, some I've not yet seen. Didn't extract and post, but here's the link, enjoy!!:

I have that magazine in my Donahue collection of items. I love the image on the front of the cover with the Penske Camaro clean & leading the pack and the Mustang bent up and plowing through the dirt.
Interesting comment that someone added about Mark stating the top was acid dipped in his Unfair Advantage book
