Aftermarket Tach Location

I'd like to add an aftermarket tach that would be relatively visible (while going above posted speeds
). Where are guys placing aftermarket tach's in their 69's that have the rotating steering column? If you could, please post some pics and tell the size of the tach. I've read people have placed them either on the pillar or top of the dash. I'd like to see what that looks like.
Thanks in advance!
Nick

I've always been tempted to follow the Balwin Motion cars, and put on a Pontiac style hood tach.

Something like this?
http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb.dll?parta~dyndetail~Z5Z5Z50000170a~Z5Z5Z5AAGDR~P239.00~~~~S36L16Y8VC24118336750F~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50000170a
Too bad it ends at 8k, thats where I'm getting started
Any one else have any suggestions or pics?
Thanks,
Nick

Yes very much like that. I have seen photos of that from Motion, but with "Chevrolet" in the window instead of Pontiac. Haven't tried to find one yet.

On the steering column. Take the reverse arm off and you will be fine. If you have headers on that car the reverse arm will probably be off anyhow.
