My original Norwood 02D Z/28, built on February 27th, has an 837 alternator dated February 19th.

The 2 real 837 dates I have seen that would fit your cars build date is March 24, 69 and April 3, 69.

From the GM of Canada paperwork - it was sold new in Canada.

Canada paper shows the date the car was built? I've never seen this on any US paper. I have a 70 Nova with window sticker and POP but no date, what paper would contain the actual build date?
Thanks Jerry for the dates.

Thanks Jerry for the dates.

The Canada paperwork shows the date the car was shipped from the plant to the carrier, and 99% of them were shipped within 24 hours of when they came off the line; most hit the shipping line during the same shift when they were produced.
