Trunk Lid Reproduction

There are some for sale for $150 all the way to $500. Is there a particular manufacturer that offers the best fiiting
most original new piece. How long did you have to wait to get it?

I have never needed one so cannot supply any info but know the topic has come up many times.  Read somewhere that a good one is available from Rick's or Heartbeat City so I'm confident if you do a search you will easily find some information.

I bought two from classic. Neither fit well. I finally took the best and with 4x4 wood blocks adjusted the crown and then had to hammer the hinge bolt locations to get a decent fit. I noticed on my original lid it appeared that the hinge mounts had been hammered originally. If you try a used one shake it well. They rust inside and sellers will prime them and call them rust free.

The heavy one from HBC or Ricks is good, however I do not know if they make all the correct ones as there are about 4-5 decklids for 67-69 Camaros.

My interchange book shows 2 lids (67 - early 68 & late 68 - 69, firebird & camaro) and says either will fit

There are 3 different deck lids for the 67 Camaro alone, depending on when the car was built, different punchings and inner brace configs if you are doing a "100 % correct" restoration. If this is the case please advise build dates and we will try to direct you to the version that was in all likelyhood on your car when it was built.
HOWEVER
If you just need something to fit and fit well then the HBC lid that's about 450 or so is the way to go. The cheaper versions are no where close to correct and you will spend more than the difference in frustration & time.
