68 Console Ammeter Wiring
«

The console ammeter has a connector with two wires:
a Black wire and a Black and White wire.
The ammeter terminal has one screw that is silver the other copper colored.
Which way does the connector go? Black wire to silver post and B/W to copper? or the other way?
The easy way to determine is to connect the battery and check to see if the needle is going in the right direction. But my car is apart and I would much rather not disassemble the console gages once it's together.
Does anyone have a picture of the wires/connectors at the gages of the console?
Thanks,
Vic

I don't know if this helps, but my wiring diagram shows the B/W wire goes to the bottom terminal.
