I've just spent the last 6 months researching the history of my 69 Z28. Like most Z28,s of that era it was driven hard with not much concern about original parts, but what survived was the drivetrain.
I can't afford buying all original nos parts, dist., alt. starter, etc., but I can afford a restamped part. I would never pass any restamped part as original. I didn't mean to mislead any of the CRG members with my post.

I'm in the same boat I'd like to put mine back original as possible but the date code thing makes mine hard- late 69 build -I just dont see much available for them. all the parts you list above are rediculous on Fleabay sorry I cant see 1k plus for a points distributor for original #s if thats the only difference is what its stamped on it
