Aftermarket carb on 69 Z
« on: July 21, 2010, 03:00:51 AM »
I am looking for any information on a replacement carb for my 69 Z it is all stock and I am having trouble with the original Holley carb.
Does anyone know of a Edelbrock replacement I would like to run it as close as possible to the stock Holley.
I have had my original rebuilt and am having trouble with the float bowls so I will pull it off and send it to Jerry this winter but it has been 8 years since I have started this car and I want to get it running this year.

thanks

What float bowl problems are you experiencing? Those Holley's are normally easy to sort out and would be worth your time & money to do so vs. purchasing a replacement.

I had this rebuilt/plated a few years back (before I knew about Jerry's service) but still done by a quality guy. I have gas leaking out of everywhere. Both float bowls where the gas line plugs into it have gas that I cannot get to stop dripping so I believe I have a problem with them. It is also pouring out of the Y block but I am sure this is probably just a bad block and can get a new one.

I have posted on here before looking for replacement bowls but was unable to find a source I tried to contact Jerry but did not get a reply from him. Again any help would be appreciated

Holleys are our specialty.  Have been doing these for over 40 years now.  Can get the most out of them in performance and driveability, and we just set the NHRA natiional record in D/Stock, with our 1967 Z28.............10.45 @ 126.21.  Read our customer feedback.
