looking for past owners

 Anyone ever heard of this place?

 Last summer I bought a '69 Z28, original motor and trans long gone but with a very old key chain advertising Modern Motor Service 463-1952 Mt. Clemens Mi.?
  No luck calling #.
  I have talked to previous owners back to 1978. None of them lived in Mt. Clemens but I have to believe SOMEONE who used to own this car DID!
  If you remember this place or A black Z28 tearing up the neighborhood I would love to hear from you.

I don't know the place but if you have the last name and address of the cars owner the Social Security Administration office might be able to help.  Here's what you do... Call 800-772-1213 to get the # of the office nearest you.  Write a letter with your intent and contact info and give it to the SS office with the last known address. They will then track down the person through tax records and send your letter in your envelope and a copy of their letter in another together to that person saying "We are forwarding the enclosed letter because the writer wants to get intouch with you.  We did not give that person your name or any other information about you.  We did not tell that person we contacted you"  Then it's up to that person to contact you.  Make it easy for them...self addressed STAMPED envelope... email address, etc.   It works, my wifes cousin found her after 40 years!  Be patient it takes a while...government you know!

 The car's current owner is me. The only info I have on Modern Motor Service is an old phone #, no address.
I talked to a guy who bought the car at 16 in partnership with his brother in Toledo, Ohio in 1978. (wonder how that worked out)? Neither he nor his brother can remember who they bought it from, only that is was a private individual and "you couldn't shift it fast enough" It had a set of 4.88's in it!

 Just on a quick search on Yahoo, the business listed below has the same name and is about 40 miles from Mt Clemens. You could give it a try and see if it is any help.
