Neg f/b is not something I will land on this seller. I do believe he was acting in all sincerity [has 100% +f/b], he just didn't understand the importance of such things.
I've already given him a brow beating by email, explaining that being able to repair it is not the point, it's forever lost it's originality and in any event, will never be as robust from a signal point of view.
My reason for posting here was not what to do with the seller, but just to cry
on everyone's shoulder that there's people out there that will do this sort of thing, and to always ask the question "Is there anything cut, broken, bent or missing", even when the answer should be blatantly obvious.
Hopefully this guy will take more care and time when removing parts from cars.
