"B Body" decal on a 69 Window Sticker
« on: May 23, 2008, 02:12:36 AM »
This window sticker is one piece of a full complement of documentation that was passed on to the current owner of an all original, un-restored Norwood built, October 69 Z28.  The car has been in the owner's family since new and the current owner is the 2nd owner.

Why and when was this "B-Body" decal added to the window sticker?

Was this added to during late build 69’s?

That "B" sticker is one of the final inspection OK stickers stuck on the inside of the windshield at the end of the Final Line and after roll-test to aid in routing the car through Final Process and to the shipping line. A car ready to ship would have had four of them - "M" for Mechanical, "P" for Paint, "B" for Body, and "RT" for Roll-Test. Those stickers were removed on the shipping line - it probably fell on the floor and was still in the car when it was delivered.
