1969 muncie

I have a 1969 Z28 and am trying to indentify the transmission.  The number on the side doesn't match.  Can someone tell me what the number means. P0022

Mistake the number is P0622

Passenger car Muncie 4 speed transmission assembled on June 22nd, 1963, 1964, 1965 or 1966. You need to tell use the main case, side cover and tail numbers to give you an exact year.

The code as listed does not make sense.

'P0' is a Muncie [P] 4-speed used for the 1970 model year. The month is always designated by a letter; 'A' for January. '22' could be the day but the '6' should be a letter. 'G' is not used so that is not it.

'P0B22' would be a '70 Muncie built Feb 22.

If it were a 1970 muncie shouldn't it have a letter after the date denoting M20 (A), M21 (B) or M22 (C)?

Mistake the number is P0622

P0622 indicates a 1966 or earlier Muncie; that stamp got an additional year character in '67-'68, and a ratio suffix code on the end in '69. Need the casting numbers from the main case, tailhousing, and side cover to identify it, and there may be a VIN derivative stamped on the main case as well.

The 3885010 case was used in 1966 and 67.  One inch cluster pin, large syncro assemblies, the 64-65 Muncie ("325" case #) is a 7/8" pin with small shifting hubs and blocking rings.  Bad design.

Thanks for the help.  I guess I need to get the tranny pulled out and see what the other numbers are.  I doesn't appear that thuis is the original transmission for my 69 Z
