68's were color matched to the interior.

Was there a front part number and a seperate rear part number for the cranks?  For the rears to clear the trim on the panel?

Gary, for 1968 there was only one handle used (front and rear, standard or deluxe), but there were different part numbers, depending on the color.

Black - 7752485
Red - 7767319
Blue - 7767322
Turquoise - 7767320
Gold - 7767325
Parchment - 7767326
White - 7767333

Gary,

For 1969 the same handle was used front and back, standard or deluxe interior (P/N was 8732961). These same handles were also used on most 1969-1972 GM cars as well.

The reason I am asking is that Rick's First Gen is advertising a new more correct part. One for the front and omne for the back. Re-tooled for the correct spline depth.

Yeah, there's been a lot of dissatisfaction with the repops. Read THIS THREAD for more info.

None of the reproduction or current GM handles are 100% technically correct.  Anyone doing a car to concours standards will seek out good used originals.
