Can someone look at the paperwork on this one?
« on: February 29, 2008, 05:08:14 PM »
I am interested in this 69 RS/SS on eBay.  I called the seller and inquired (among other things) about the buildsheets.  I thought it unusual to have one build sheet, much less three.  He said this is a one owner car, still on the original title.  He said the o/o special ordered this paint/interior/wheel combination and asked to be given the build sheets when he ordered it???  I guess that would explain why they look so nice.  But I don't know how to tell the difference between a real or fake build sheet and was hoping someone here could take a look and give me their opinions.  Thanks!

First off 1st gen Camaros did not have "build sheets". Both plants used the broadcast system; there was a body broadcast sheet and a chassis broadcast sheet. Of those the chassis sheet is the most useful as it has the engine code etc.

The photos are poor but the body broadcast sheets shown in the ad appear real.

You really want a silver car with a green interior? Yecch.

Wow... that seems to be a very original car... I question whether it has even been painted.
The spare tire alone is worth a mint...
If the car is original as it appears it would be nice to see at the Camaro Nats next year...

I know, I know.  The silver on green is a love it or hate it combo for sure.  Honestly, I kinda like it - it and the wheels are what drew me to the car in the first place.  Normally I'm not attracted to SB A/T cars, but there's something about this one.  Maybe just that it is different??  Paperwork is a plus too.  Thank you for your input, William.

The car has had one repaint - but needs it again.  ;D

I like the silver on green.  Something a little different for a change!

I know someone who will probably buy the spare from you as long as it is in close to new shape.
