Rebuilding factory shock absorbers

$250 each would buy a nice set of Koni's...   

Factory shocks, even HD ones, in that time frame lasted about a year in my experience... I doubt these rebuilt ones would last as long (if you really want to DRIVE the car)...

When I bought my '59 z28, it had the originals on it; I immediately replaced them with Gabriel Strider adjustables (which are still on it now which work just fine parked in the garage!)..   I have a new set of Konis for it when I again drive it...

Gary, you're right, original shocks are needed for technical judging events and for completeness of the car if originality is important. I would not leave rebuilt shocks installed on a car that's driven on a regular basis. New shock technology is affordable and the resulting ride quality is superior.

Cannot remember name but there is a prime builder the ncrs guys use. Used to be around $800 for a set.

Dan has done shocks for me also. Very nice work . Its expensive and takes along time . Not for everyone. He has a set of mine right now.
