Does anybody know about this front convertible top bow "wedge"?

A resurrection for this thread. This is from my friend Lee’s unrestored 67. My parts book also shows 67-69 use as Bert stated. It appears I will soon have an original to have 3d printed. The ones on my 68 are long gone, so another small detail to add.
