From the samples over the years it does seem common that the center characters on the "Rolled" stamp would appear lighter and the outboard characters at the "End & Beginning" appear deeper and an element of squish-smear.
Agree it is the rare "HP" desirable and valuable units that are; forged, copied, tributed, later born and fabricated as a desire of the market forces.
