What is anyone using on kick panels? Adhesion promoter, plastic primer and then vinyl dye?

I bought the SEM plastic paint because it is made for that. They also have a plastic prep and sand free product in cans that worked on mine. I think it is all in how you prep them, plus the paint you use.
