1969 rear spoiler cars... trunk emblem or no?
« on: March 04, 2023, 07:14:19 PM »
Ive read on CRG and other sites but I am seeking definitive answer on if it is right or wrong to have the trunk emblem on a rear spoiler car. If all cars left assembly with the emblem in place and the dealer installed the spoiler the emblem might just go away. Am I correct in saying that it is not wrong to have the spoiler and the emblem?

Both 1968 and 1969 Assembly Manuals show a "relocated emblem" (Fisher body function) in the Z28 RPO section with Details shown in the D80 equipped sketches-drawings.

What the dealer did then might've been up to the customer. Any Camaro that left Chevrolet with a factory installed spoiler had the emblem. It one of the quick ways to determine if it's factory at car shows. lot's of people leave the emblem off. I took spoilers off my X66 the last go around since it didn't have them from the factory. I like it alot better....Joe
