Sold for $82,500 at Mecum Kissimmee in 2022.  Also says it has Camaro Hi-Performance docs so Jerry MacNeish would know the car.

Another car that will make the rounds on the auction circuit until someone grabs it up - then it will be in a private inaccessible collection.

Looks like some or most of the interior parts are original. I like that they did not put a repop steering wheel or shroud on it by looking at the pictures .

Sure wouldl like to know the suffix code. Anyone on here have any knowledge or ever seen a KE suffix for a L89 which is listed on a few sources as a 69’ Camaro L89 with HD clutch. I know Mr Kurt S has said there is no known documented 69 Camaro with this suffix. Well I’m here to tell ya I have seen a 396 with a KE suffix, back in the mid 90’s in a vehicle that is correct to me for my original engine for my 9’ SS 396. But at the time for me this suffix was very strange to me, as I was looking for a JH suffix. Did not ever forget this suffix. Let it go and regret to this day not buying the vehicle! I mean what am I suppose to think, about the possibility of it possibly being an L89. Base this on finding the original owner of car, and1 thing he did remember about car is what he paid for car, new, in excess of 5000.00, sold new in ChicagoLand, and day 2’ed it and went drag racing it right off the dealership. Yes I did ask him if it had alloy heads on it, and the answer was no, cast heads cause he had them off and ported and polished the heads for racing. Yep I understand all 311 L89’s where ordered by yes drag racers, but my next thought, maybe the car was ordered and upon receiving dealership had sticker shock and left it! Ok CRG’ers, am I over dreaming or is this a possibility, can tell you 1 thang for sure, I will restart a search for that vehicle from the mid 90’s and if it still has that suffix I know where to look for that magic set of VIN partial. Thank ya for at least listening. God Bless.

Does anyone know this car? Does it have its CX transmission?
Car has no docs other than appraisal.  Restamped block (now JM, used to be JJ), 70 TH400. Orig axle.

And there was no HD clutch production for Camaro - Tonawanda records also confirm that. Seen several restamps....

Thanks KurtS, got another question? If you say Tonawanda records has no HD clutch for L89 cars, was the suffix code and partial VIN stamped at Tonawanda. Am I correct in saying all 311 L89’s were ordered, does Tonawanda retain records, to this day. I have these questions, based on my conversation with original owner of my car, who says he remembered what he paid for car, new, dealership in ChicagoLand. North of 5000.00 dollars. Can only hope to refined this engine, which had a KE suffix code. Last put my eyes on it, in correct vehicle I was looking for, but I was looking for a JH suffix code. This was the mid 90’s. All I have is a dealers packet in glove box, no other info available. The dealership was in Elmhurst, Illinois. Thanks Sir.

Some records survive.
Read the assembly article - VIN's were done at the assembly plant.
MA6 was only $79. Memories are not reliable..... :)

Now Mr Kurt, this is inticing, some records survive! Where do I find the assembly article? What is MA6 and can it still be purchased? Remember now I am new to all of this CRG stuff but an old fart, long time 69’ Camaro owner. Thanks for advanced info you can share. God Bless.
