Trim tag or VIN problem?
« on: September 22, 2022, 05:03:57 AM »
Ran into a 09D trim tag with a 512502 VIN. Is this possible, CRG's documentation shows the last VIN  for September 68 is 512133, where could there be a discrepancy. Trim tag has no X coding and the production sequence  is NOR113750.

Probably nothing to be concerned as the car "most likely" started the build on the tail end of 09D and once the vin was assigned it was in the first week of Oct.  But with anything I am working on assumptions due to not being able to see the tag, vin and hidden vins.  If you have photos please post but until then it'll just be speculation.

Yes its possible. That VIN and body number fits perfect with 09D of 1968. Its an early car.
