Source for original Leaf Spring Cup?
« on: September 22, 2021, 02:01:10 PM »
I damaged my driver side leaf spring mounting cup (GM p/n: 3892751) while trying to remove a seriously seized up leaf spring. Everyone that sells reproductions sells Hugger Performance and they are absolutely TERRIBLE. I tried looking for a used factory bracket at Heartbeat City and Camaro Central, but neither had one. Anybody know of any other sources for an OEM bracket (or a repro that isn’t trash)?

Apologies if this is the wrong subforum for this question.

eBay can be your friend - sometimes.

Some Camaro forums have Classified sections.....

Depending on where you live - Fall Carlisle is quickly approaching.

Good Luck!!

I have a pair. Been saving stuff from parted out cars for decades. Getting tired of it. One day it is all going in the trash.

I scoured ebay for a few weeks and struck out. Camaro Specialties is closed today, but I’ll give them a ring tomorrow.

Sauron327, if Camaro Specialties is a bust would you be interested in parting with yours?
If so, shoot me a pic and a price.

Technically, a recommendation to any vendor or shop is a buying and selling thread.  Lost track of how many times a poster asked about where to buy parts or get parts rebuilt. You are going to have to ban them all.

Referring to a vendor isn't a problem. It's when you start saying I have a pair or does anyone have a pair that gets into the a gray area.

OK. Got it. I'll just say I know people who have a stockpile of parts somebody needs. Sure is a gray area when a person is selling a lifetime collection of parts.  Some of us actually work on these cars seven days a week. I'm not Ground Up or Camaro Specialties but am buried in this business and hobby. Hobby car people who dabble have it made.

We've had some recent offline discussions about this. I'm OK with these greyer posts. ;)
I don't have an issue with someone asking where to source a part and if it's not widely available, someone offering it up. Just take it to PM's then. This thread is a perfect example of the community supporting itself.
Straight up 'I want to buy / sell' posts will be deleted.
