67 convertible unibody brace

Hello,
I've noticed on a few of the convertibles that I've look at, there is some sort of brace bolted to the bottom of the unibody.
Is there any information about these?

They are sometimes missing, got tossed over the years, when replacing the exhaust or removing the driveshaft. All convertibles should have them. They are to help stiffen the body.
If you don't have it already, I think you can still download the 67 AIM Assembly Instruction Manual. It's shown under UPC1 Sheet C2 Floor Panel Reinforcement. While you are there, go up a page and see the sheet on Outside Rear View Mirror. Note that it doesn't have the bowtie on the illustration.
