Somewhere I read that after market 1/4s lacked the correct detail where 1/4 meets tail panel. That was described as not having a slight recess looking straight on from the rear next to where tail light would be. The panel kinda dimples in there on originals. Can someone tell me if the AMD 1/4 has the correct shape? Or, any other Differences a AMD 1/4 deviates from factory steel in appearance? Thanks CRG.

Bentley, not sure if this helps, but I used AMD quarters on my 70 Z project. They were the best aftermarket quarters my body man had ever installed. He said they fit like nos. Hopefully someone will chime in on the 69’s. Hope all is well, stay safe!

None of the 69 repro quarters replicate the factory contours near the tailpanel and I've stated this numerous times. I've had to replicate the factory look many times with H&D work. If a shop tossed the GM quarters they have no reference or don't care. I've seen countless repro quarters with incorrect shapes. Simple: Save a GM section for reference. Doubtful few would know the difference since most of these cars have been restored over the years. Vendors with restored 69's on their showroom floors have quarters that look nothing like a GM quarter. It all depends on how precise one wants to be with a build and the intentions with a car.
What was once a good stamping 3 years ago can change if purchased today. Been through this many times. There are no constants in the repro industry. Similar to late stamped NOS that suck because the dies wore out.
Repro or NOS fender droop that few take the time to correct. Big pet peeve of mine.

I posted a pic of my left quarter because I’m curious if it has the factory contours you’re talking about. From what I can tell my RH quarter was replaced but I think my LH is original. Can I have your opinion please?
