Not really hard to do. If the cylinder is not pitted, repiston(if needed) and 2 seals. Plenty of info out there.

Hi, thanks for the recommendation. I have rebuilt
calipers before but the car has been sitting 30 plus years and the bores are pitted.  I didn't want to take any chances.
Thanks again.

Whitepost Restorations - been doing this for 100 years, or so ...

The company that does the majority of Corvette Caliper resleeving/rebuilding is Lonestar Caliper (out of Texas)..

Many years ago, I sent them my original calipers for my '69 Corvette and they installed stainless sleeves, rebuilt them and returned them (although I think they prefer to SWAP rebuilt ones for yours)..  you might give them a call, sure to be much less expensive than Whitepost (and Billy isn't at Whitepost any longer)...

White Post stands behind their lifetime warranty. Save your receipt. Their did my vette master and almost 20 years later did it again. No charge.

Kelley?

Did Whitepost sleeve your MC in brass or stainless steel?   Last time I talked to Billy they wanted to do only brass...?

Most shops are O ringing the 4 piston calipers now, this way they are not as prone to issues relating to the bores, they become much more like 4 little 69 pistons...

The one I got back from White Post last year was brass or bronze.

Gary, I think White Post originally did my master with SS. Think brass the second time. Several of the corvette guys that got the SS caliper sleeves years ago have had them fail. WP did ask me about the brake fluid. Appears they do not cover units that used synthetic fluid which I had not.

I've had stainless steel sleeves in my '69 Corvette Calipers AND Dot 5 (silicone fluid) for 30 yrs).   I know Billy told me he didn't recommend silicone fluid when he did my '69 Camaro MC *but that's what I put in it*, since he couldn't tell me WHY NOT and I've had great luck with silicone DOT 5 in *reducing maintenance* on my brake systems.   He installed brass sleeves in my '60 Corvette MC (it also has silicone fluid) and in my '69 Camaro MC also brass sleeved with silicone fluid.

PS.  I'd rather have the zero maintenance of silicone fluid use, than the whitepost lifetime warranty... :)  .. although I believe Lonestar also gives a lifetime warranty on their stainless caliper rebuilds.
