My current project's engine
« on: October 06, 2020, 01:54:14 AM »
Boys,
Some members have inquired on my 'new' project, so I will post a picture of the engine I plan on installing in the Mustang. Yes, Im aware this is a Camaro site, yet for the reasons I mentioned some guys wish to see it. Thanks for your support!
Enjoy!

That’s gonna look awesome in your engine bay. I love old Mustangs too. Actually I love all muscle cars. My favorites are Camaro and Corvette. Is that going in your red 70 pictured?

Interesting!  Isn't that a blower intake?

Looks like the Autolite inline 4 bbl intake. I echo X66 - I'm an inveterate Chevrolet/GM guy, but I still have a lot of interest and respect for all muscle cars regardless of brand. This engine is very impressive, a real piece of art. It doesn't through my back out to pronounce that, either.

Boys,
Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated!
Yes, its a modified BDS blower intake to mount the large 'B' 1425 cfm Autolite Inline carb. This actually has never been done before by installing an Inline on a Boss 429. Only one prototype intake was developed for such an application and is very rare…aka expensive!
The engine will be a modern version of the all aluminum Can-Am 494 (Boss 429).
It will be installed in a 1969 Mustang Fastback, with a FOX chassis underneath it. Not the car in my avatar--that was a Boss 302 T/A car that has been sold.
One day, I also seek to purchase a 1969 Camaro and ultimately install a rare, exotic Chevrolet engine in that car with the same flavor as the Mustang.

I too am a lover of the all muscle cars. Camaros, Mustangs, Challengers, Cudas, GTX. I've owned them all and a few others over the years. But I keep coming back to 1st. Gen Camaros.  And for sure, that engine looooks sweeeet! Very Impressive...
